❄️

The Classic ("The Ice")

The foundational map of Knockout. A simple, flat geometric plane (circular or square) that tests your raw physics control.

Key Mechanics

  • Contraction: The safe zone shrinks over time. Outer rings break away.
  • Slippery Surface: Low friction environment (Ice physics).
  • Open Edges: No guardrails. One slip means falling into the void.
Strategy: Control the center (0, Y, 0). It offers the maximum buffer against knockback.

Penguin Peak (Season 1)

New Hard

A complex, multi-level arena introduced in Season 1. Features verticality and scripted hazards.

Key Mechanics

  • The Red Zone: Floors disappear! Watch the colors: White β†’ Yellow β†’ Orange β†’ Red β†’ GONE.
  • NPC Interference: Non-playable penguins roam the map, acting as mobile obstacles.
  • Lava Pit: Falling means instant elimination.
Strategy: Stay mobile! Never camp in one spot. Watch for Yellow warnings.
🎨

Color Block

A "Simon Says" style mini-game where combat is still active. cognitive load + reaction speed test.

Key Mechanics

  • Grid Layout: Floor is made of colored tiles.
  • Target Color: Move to the displayed color within 3-5 seconds.
  • Elimination: Wrong tiles lose collision, dropping players to the void.
Strategy: Gatekeep! Stand on the safe color early and push others away to prevent them from reaching safety.

⚠️ Environmental Hazards

🌌

The Void / Lava

The ultimate kill trigger (Y < -50). Contact results in immediate reset/elimination.

🍬

Bubblegum Bumpers

High-restitution objects that apply massive impulse. Useful for escape but unpredictable.

πŸŒ€

Polar Portals

Teleporters that instantly move you to an exit node. Great for flanking or escaping edge guarders.
